You know that moving throughout the day is essential to good health, but you simply can’t find the time to fit some movement into your busy day. If you’re like most people who work in a company office (or home office), you may get so consumed by your work that you hardly move all day. Paid break activity can be viewed in the Activity Log and in Timesheet Reports as shown below.Do you sit at a desk most of the day? Do workdays seem to pass by without much activity of any kind? No, clicking the mouse doesn’t count. ![]() An indication will be provided to managers and administrators if a worker fails to indicate that they took or declined a paid break opportunity. Workers can indicate that they have taken the break or indicate that they did not take the break. Workers will then open the app to indicate whether they have taken the specified paid break. For example, if your settings indicate workers should take a paid break every three hours, the Timesheet Mobile smartphone app will remind workers to indicate whether they have taken a paid break every three hours. Similar to unpaid breaks, workers are notified to indicate that they have taken the specified paid break at the appropriate times during their shift. The default start time for breaks is always set in the middle of the specified period but can be changed by the worker in cases requiring that unpaid breaks start at specific times. With work break reminders, administrators will no longer need to manually adjust shifts to reflect unpaid break times. Work breaks are highlighted in the Timesheet Report for administrators and managers to easily review and can be edited just like any other shift. Workers are able to override the default break length if they took a longer or shorter break and also have the option to skip the break if they did not take one. In the prompts displayed, workers can indicate what time their break started and can enter it with the click of a button. In addition, workers who complete shifts longer than 10 hours will receive a second break prompt, and those working more than 15 hours will receive a third break prompt. Workers that complete a shift longer than the minimum shift specified will receive a Break Prompt (see below). These settings can also be customized for each worker as detailed in Per Worker Settings. Select the minimum shift required before a work break is required and select the default work break length for your company. Paid and unpaid work breaks may be set independently. To enable work break reminders for smartphone app users, navigate to Account > Settings > Punch Settings and scroll down to Break Settings as shown below: Work break reminders enable your workers to be reminded to take paid work breaks and enter information about unpaid work breaks taken during their work shift. The Timesheet Mobile smartphone app offers an easy and effective way to track and enter both paid and unpaid work breaks with the click of a button.
